A live WTF for the ages. Sarah Vowell waxes poetic on the history of Hawaii. Chuck Klosterman gives his take on recent shifts in pop culture. Eric Drysdale goes retro with his homemade 3-D viewmaster. Fred Armisen reveals which SNL character he based partially on Marc. And Bill Hader recounts a wild limo ride with Danny McBride. Taped at The Bell House in Brooklyn, NY, 3/10/11.

Sarah Vowell is a Goddess. Seriously.

This whole show was amazing, but she was the topper.

I sincerely doubt Marc is making money off premium memberships--it probably costs him a fair amount to host this growing collection of large audio files. This is probably just an avenue for keeping the new episodes free.

LOVED this show. Hader's Danny McBride impression. Sarah Vowell. Chuck Klosterman. Yay.

There have been internal problems with the comment system. Many comments were flagged as having "unknown errors" and could not be published. That includes several comments I tried to post to explain the problem.

We apologize if your comment was not posted. It had nothing to do with the content of your comments.

Great great show! I really enjoy getting introduced to new writers...
RE: The European influence in norteno is interesting. I think it is simply a fact that for Europeans immigrating in the late 1800s, there was little difference between the American southwest and northern Mexico.
A real interesting related story is that of the Mexican Mennonites who I would see occasionally on the streets of Mexico City- completely European features, wearing plaid shirts and overalls, selling their artisanal cheese...

Holy crap that was one of the best Live WTF episodes I've heard, I think it beats out the Live WTF in Seattle.

You cheap pricks, Marc isn't here to make you laugh out of kindness, he's trying to live off his work.

GREAT EPISODE! Bill Hader is hilarious, you should do a solo episode with him...

Dear admin -- as I said on a previous thread regarding premium content available to app subscribers only, those of us who are "super premium donors" were told we would never have to pay for any episodes. Yes, I realize that this episode will be made available sometime in April, but why are we be treated as second-class citizens? Not all of us have smartphones, and I have no reason to download the app. By the way, still waiting for that other bonus content to make its way to wtfpodshopdotcom.

I'm getting to the point where I'm starting to regret the fat one-time donation I made early on, and starting to think about cancelling my monthly paypal contribution. This is not cool.

I'm with Steve. As much as I like MM, I'm not paying unless I see him in person. There are tons of other comedians out there that don't charge.

    Sharon-

The Premium Membership allows you to stream the content to your desktop. It provides all the content that you can get on the WTF Apps, without a smartphone.

Episodes can only be direct-downloaded when they are available in the main podcast feed (the 50 most recent episodes) or by going to wtfpodshop.com or WTF Premium on iTunes.

Why can't we download on the Premium site like we can on the regular site?
