Marc seeks wisdom and insight from a true comedy Buddha, the one and only Garry Shandling. Garry talks boxing, basketball, mothers, self-acceptance and, of course, Larry Sanders. Plus, Marc wonders if the Rapture actually happened without us knowing it. This episode is sponsored exclusively by Men of a Certain Age, returning Wednesday, June 1, only on TNT.

i like mike and tom eat snacks (michael ian black and tom caagvaunh). it's a lot of riffing and schtick, but it is pretty amusing.it's not quite comedy, but i also listen to TBTL (too beautiful to live with luke burbank), a seattle based daily podcast that's mostly luke talking about his own life, a lot of pop culture and current events talk, and guests (bands and comedians and other pop culture people). it has a ridiculously devoted following.i also want to point out that a friend of mine, who i'd vaguely known for months through the cafe where i work but never really gave two thoughts about, once showed up on WTF and it changed the way i thought about him forever.

The discussion that used Charlie Sheen as a metaphor for the currently delusional, addictive American culture was amazing.

I have always loved the Larry Sanders shows.. hard to find shows of that caliber. I'm glad the guy behind it is as cool as the show was - I think i'll appreciate it that much more now!

Fantastic interview. It was good to hear you with Smith and Schwalbach, it seemed very relaxed and fun...and funny! MORE! MORE! MORE!

i agree the gervais interview was funny but shandling seemed to dislike him somewhat, whereas he had a lot of warmth towards maron which made for a better interview (in my humble opinion!)

Very funny but have to add it could have been more interesting if less "Marc asks Buddha for help" and more about Gary's career and old stories most of us have never heard.

(I thought the Gervais interview was hilarious. ?)

what a great show. shandling seemed to really like maron, which was a relief after the car crash that was ricky gervais' interview a few years ago. great stuff. x
