Laura Kightlinger sits down with Marc in the garage, even though she hates going out and she's fairly repulsed by Marc's living conditions. Laura divulges secrets about her writing process (which involves a lot of Ebay activity), ponders the downside of heroin use (projectile vomiting = no fun) and praises the benefits of alcohol (Arby's plays a heavy role).  Plus, Marc and Laura put in a call to an old friend.

I finished her super depressing book tonight. Now I need to listen to this podcast again. What I want to know is if the rape scene in her book really happened. I don't think it did, but it's really confusing.

Loved this episode. Kightlinger was fantastic. Way better than her standup, which I never cared for, either live or on TV. But she's naturally hilarious.

I wonder if Marc and Laura had sex after the show. I hope so.

I love Louie, but why oh why do people pick up their phones if they can't talk? If you're busy and can't talk, don't answer your phone! let it go to voicemail! It's ok. Really.

Oh, and laura kightlinger is one of my comedy heroes.

Re:Louie Ck he would have never picked up the phone...I hope it is all cool. Kightlinger is a fucking Goddess...Read her book. This was the best, but you should have asked her what she did with allthe Will & Grace money.

***Maron: change this security system...my american keyboard does not have the letters the are asking for. I do not have the Armenian keyboard. This system is whacked. I spent 3 minutes trying to figure out one letter.

Mark...I use to be doorman @ (old) Largo when Lisa L.would book you guys.(Mondays)I absolutely love this woman. (And you) from those days. We are all the same age w/the same neurosis. Nothings right man. We all suffer. I think it was us 1963-65 kids who are most fucked.

I don't speak for Mark, "KC Time", but I guess with Jay Leno there was no point addressing the elephant that's been slogged to death already in all other media?

I was waiting for Maron to ask her about Jack Black, but I guess he pussed out like he did when he interviewed Conan and didn't ask him one single question about Jay Leno.

Laura sounded like my kinda woman. Excellent lively conversation enhanced by both parties obviously having a good time. Funny episode! - thanks Marc.

Wow, between this beaut & the Hader/Armisen/Drysdale/ episode - I think that makes for 9 cunts & about 44 cocks? I really want NewsMax et al to get a hold of your clip saying "the vets are a racket" and run with it.

Always loved Laura before she seemed to fall off. She's right about the incest thing, and wrong about the boob shame thing. I've always been ashamed of my boobs.
