It's a comedy blitzkrieg at Comix in NYC when Marc welcomes five funny folks to a live WTF taping. Matt creates some political tension, Rev. Jen gives aging advice, Louis has the ultimate stripper story, Judah tells how he became World Champion, and Jim explains what happens to ping pong balls in Bangkok. This episode is sponsored by Adam and Eve. Visit www.adamandeve.com and use offer code WTF to receive 50% off almost any product.
On behalf of GAYMMME, the Gay Marc Maron Experience, please accept our heartfelt thanks for your first MALE GAY COMEDIAN INTERVIEW on WTF.
We understand that Gay Comedians are so foreign and strange for you to have waited 96 episodes before you dane to include us Homos in the pantheon of those whom the Muse Thalia inspires. And by no means are we offended that our first male gay comedian ( why , why are female gay comedians popular, but male gay comedians arent?) only got 10 minutes of time.
No, we are not sad or slighted in the least. Its 1950 and someone just let Bill Cosby on the TV mama! Thank you Marc, we salut you and will all order Glass Dildos from AdamandEve.com in your honor!!!!
Lusciously,

Another great podcast. The live WTF's are consistently excellent - the most recent premium one in Aspen is hilarious too!
PENTHOUSE was when Marc and I were kids the more sleazy of the PLAYBYOY duality, though HUSTLER was always moreso yet, and most of the others were trying to steer a course somewhere around the bigger names...I have the vague impression PENTHOUSE got more sleazy yet at the end of Guccione's ownership or just after (in the same period of years that Guc' and Li'l Guc' were tussling over SPIN magazine and LG's own skin/lad magazine GEAR), but never have looked at it much. Also understand that the current owners are trying to make a less sleazy package of cheescake these days...much like PLAYBOY also trying to scramble for a position of relevance and profitability. These days, PLAYBOY at least feels "older" and more sad retro than does ESQUIRE, its initial model...and ESQUIRE is a pale shadow of what it was in the '60s.
As for "butt steak" Marc means Jeff Altman (of Pink Lady and Jeff, fame, also one of David Letterman's best friends, I believe), not Bob Altman. He never quite "made it," per se, but he was definitely a a name. I'm fairly certain he also never entirely went away and has always been out there doing the clubs and casinos, probably making a better living than not only most comics, but than Marc himself.
