Laurie Metcalf has never been through anything in her acting career like what she's going through now. After four decades of performances on stage and screen, she tells Marc why everything feels different with Lady Bird. They also talk about Laurie helping to found the Steppenwolf Theatre company, reviving Roseanne for 2018, and mastering the challenge of her role in Horace and Pete. Also, Tom Segura returns to the garage to talk about his new special and to sort out why his wife is dreaming about Marc. This episode is sponsored by Crashing on HBO and RXBAR.

I totally agree with you about Trump.
I’ve had my eye on T for ages, before politics. He’s a phony who acts like he’s God’s Gift to the World, but fails as a human being. I don’t feel safe with him because he’s a User of Earth and Humanity... as Eric says, “he only sees Green.” Trump is the nadir of Buber’s “I-It” debasement of interpersonal relationship. If I thought there was a Devil, T would be one of his Minions.

Wow, I can’t believe you had Laurie Metcalf on didn’t even touch on her amazing role of Dr. Jenna James on the criminally underappreciated HBO series ‘Getting On’.

    Hey Marc,
I really like your pod cast but when TomSegura was on talking about his wife who’s a comic why didn’t you use her name or give her a plug. He didn’t even mention her name WTF?
